Some local authorities provided different types of school-related or school-unrelated food support for low-income individuals and children during the pandemic. For instance, the municipalities of Marseille, Paris or Brest, as well as the country of Haute-Gavonne offered cash transfers or food stamps to mitigate the unavailability of school meals.
