The COVID-19 leave and self-isolation support scheme was introduced to provide financial support for workers who were unable to work due to self-isolation, being ill with COVID-19 or caring for others with COVID-19. Employers were required to apply for the leave on behalf of their eligible employees and had to transfer payment to their employees in full
