This collection of items relates to Harry Tilston and were passed to Bill Pinfold by Harry's childless daughter, Bill's aunt. Harry was born in Stafford in 1899 and spent most of his life there, eventually working for Universal Grinding. Harry eventually died in 1973. During the Great War he first served as a Private in the Durham Light Infantry before transferring to 2 Bn South Staffordshire Regt. - Service No. 41863. Nothing is known about his military career, except the fact that he clearly served in the Palestine Campaign, 1917-18.
