Facility-level Green H2-DRI-EAF Steel Production Optimisation Model

Facility-level green H2-DRI-EAF steel production optimisation model, including GAMS model and input files.

System Requirements:
Requires GAMS software, which supports x86 64 bit MS Windows, Linux and macOS systems.
Tested on GAMS Version 24.7.1 r56632 WEX-WEI x86 64bit/MS Windows (released Mar 14, 2016) with an academic license (license holder: Aidong Yang).

Download GAMS (if not already installed) from
Download the optimisation code and dataset files from, saving all in the GAMS project directory: \Documents\gamsdir\projdir

Open the GAMS model.
Click Run.
Expected run time for demo on a "normal" desktop computer is 1-2 hours for 9 loops (3 scrap fractions (0%, 25%, 50%) x 3 years (2030, 2040, 2050)).
Results file will be ouputted into project directory, titled (in this case): "Results_4a_China_N_2017.txt"
