Overview

This talk was presented at the Seminar Nasional Bahasa Ibu XV (Fifthteenth National Seminar on Mother Language) organised by the Linguistics Postgraduate Programs at the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University, Bali, Indonesia (21 February 2023). The topic is also accepted for presentation at the Konferensi Linguistik Tahunan (KOLITA), the international annual linguistics conference organised by Universitas Katolik Atma Jaya, Jakarta (20-22 June 2023).

We discussed preliminary research on the structure and content of the Enggano-German Dictionary (Kähler 1987), their challenges, and what we aim for in the digitisation process. The digitised dictionary (Rajeg et al. 2024) has been incorporated as the Enggano lexical resource (project webpage), combining legacy materials of Enggano and contemporary data (project webpage).
