The impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on student learning: Evidence from Tanzania

In this note, we add to the literature on the impact of student learning during the COVID-19 pandemic by estimating the difference between pre- and post-pandemic learning for early primary students in Tanzania — a developing country where public schools were only closed for 15 weeks, relative to the global average of 59 weeks.
