"understood what makes the video so attention-grabbing" (S35)
understood what makes the video so attention-grabbing. The individual speaks very confidently with each word that is said and goes into great detail. Every story is spoken with a degree of detail to enhance the reader's perception of the world its taking place in. Every word creates a setting and every sentence has a meaning. No words are wasted and the messages sent through the story is clearly understood by Jesse as each second of the video goes by. Jesse was left curious and wanting to hear more on the topic that was previously unfamiliar to his ears. This caused a spiral down social media forms constantly consuming more content. With each hour passing by feeling like minutes and minutes feeling like seconds, time seemed to continue to pass faster. Before Jesse realized it, the day already seemed to have passed. The black of night crept through his windows without him even noticing all this time. However, the videos kept going with each story and each deliberately crafted message left him always wanting to just watch one more. The excuses piled up as fast as each video would pass by. At this point, Jesse doesn't even remember the initial messages of the first video he watched or why he started watching in the first place. All his brain now knows is that the person he is watching has completely captivated his attention and any break from it results in time feeling so slow it's agonizing. Before he knows it, the light of day jumps through his windows and the trance of the videos is broken. Jesse can't comprehend what has happened but days have gone by without him even noticing. He can't remember what he ate or had to drink each day but knows he did those things. The previous videos seem like a blur with each message lost in his head. Dazed from the lack of interaction with the outside world Jesse puts down his phone and begins to start the day.
