Jesse began questioning all that she knew about her surroundings.

The figure on the phone had a soft jaw covered with a faded beard, and brown eyes that made you want to believe anything they said.

They spoke of physics, the universe; a supposed ordered chaos which humans were thrust into.

Jesse had never considered herself religious and was always cautious of what she came across online. But this figure was different.

"New York Times Best Selling Author" read their Instagram bio. Appearing on talk shows, hosting workshops and participating in research. The spiritual figure seemed more of a celebrity than what you would compare to Jesus, Mohammed or a Buddha.

Yet the message, the core ideas conveyed, echoed that of holy scriptures. Maybe it was easier to digest thanks to the positive comments and likes under the posts of the figure (who knows), but before she knew it, Jesse had fallen down a rabbit hole on their page.

The power of now. Breathwork while listening to the sounds in her surrounding helped Jesse find her focus. The guide offered by the spiritual figure entailed just that; that we have the power to dictate our own lives through manifestation, drive, strong will. Though Jesse found herself in a tricky situation with her landlord, this new guide offered her a fresh take on the situation.

"What if I don't have to perceive the situation negatively?" She thought. "Sure, it's a shitty situation. But does a bird despair if it falls out of the nest? No. It's scary, of course, but everything has its order. How can there not be a path for me and a reason for my existence, when the cells inside of me fight so hard everyday to keep me alive?"

The figure with insight who crossed her path gave Jesse a new perspective and strength in her troublesome situation.
