This paper aims to examine what happens to people in the medium term after a large-scale disaster such as the Pakistan Earthquake of 2005, when it is immediately followed up with substantial monetary compensation. Outcomes of interest include children's academic performance, children's physical and cognitive development, school enrolment, grade attainment, household wealth, and public infrastructure.
