The contributor shared that her uncle, Kenneth Sedgwick, was in the Liverpool Royal Welsh 46th tank regiment in Italy. The contributor advised that Kenneth died in service at the age of 20 when his tank received a direct hit, and he was buried in Sangro River cemetery in Northeast Italy. The contributor added that, the day after the family received notice that Kenneth had been killed in action, his brother was called into service. She also highlighted that there is a plaque in the local school commemorating 5 pupils who were killed.
