White-metal vessel
Mayer card: Small patera of white metal, 6 inches diam. Most probably found at Gilton. Underneath it bears the number 7024.Note in another hand says \Probably Coptic mirror case\"."According to Douglas 1793, 48, the 'patera' No. 12 shown in Pl. 12 was in his possession. M 7025 must therefore be a different plate. It is described as 'white metal', while Douglas' object is described as 'mixed metal' with some remains of gilding (see 'Tumulus XV' ?base). – B.B.
