My grandfather worked for the Gas Board, and was frequently out at night mending gas leaks. One night he was cycling home on his big bike with a carrier on the front for his toolbar. In the light of his bicycle lamp he saw something in the road, which on examination was a tea chest full of tea. He picked it up and put it on the front of his bike and cycled on. When he got home, he said to my grandmother "You'll never guess what I found on the way home!" My grandmother asked what it was. "A tea chest full of tea!" "Where is it then?" asked Gran. "I took it into the police station", he replied. Gran didn't speak to him for a week!
