An account of memories of WWII: Born in 1934, he was evacuated to Wales, but returned to Birmingham, then went to relations in Rodborough. The contributor noted they had plenty of food because the family had three allotments. Once, he brought an incendiary bomb into the house to play with. He remembers the over-zealous ARP Wardens, and finds it very hard to forget or forgive Japanese conduct during the war.
