Mark Walsh brought along two medals.

"I think they were my grandfather's. They were clearly from the Second World War, for service.

They are for general service. My grandfather on my mum's side was an engineer - Edward Ellis.

From my father's side they were based for service in Italy or even North Africa.

My other grandfather was Edward Walsh. I believe he was a skilled engineer.

They were both English and based in Leeds, which is where I am from. They both died just before I was born (early 1970s)."
