Although we have been unable to find relevant courses contributing to the MD Program, the University of Hawaii, Manoa does offer two relevant courses in Native Hawaiian Health that contribute to the Imi Ho‘ola Post-Baccalaureate Program (Humanities in Medicine I and Humanities in Medicine II). Open to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, the Imi Ho‘ola Post-Baccalaureate is a 12-month program, completion of which allows for matriculation onto the MD Program. This information has been collected for the Post-Discipline Online Syllabus Database. The database explores the use of literature by schools of professional education in North America. It forms part of a larger project titled Post-Discipline: Literature, Professionalism, and the Crisis of the Humanities, led by Dr Merve Emre with the assistance of Dr Hayley G. Toth. You can find more information about the project at Data was collected and accurate in 2021/22.
