online resource
posted on 2021-10-27, 19:20 authored by Helena HamerowHelena Hamerow
Spindle whorl, diam 3.6cm., sub-oval section. Made of what appears to be very fine, gritless cream coloured clay, which has never been fired but must have been just leather hard when buried. Some slight damage due to excavation when soft and damp.
