Dark translucent glass bead, max. diam. 2cm., made of a streaky blend of dark green and dark blue translucent glass with dark red opaque streaks - like several colours of plasticine rolled together. The spirals where it has been whirled on the rod are very clear, and there is a charred area on the side around the hole as if the thing had been burnt. Query whether Faussett tried one of his experiments on it with a poker to see if it gave off any odour?? Or whether the charring was done in the manufacture. When still malleable nicked into 8 lobes or flutes.
