9 tinned bronze shield-studs, disc heads (tinned), diam 2.5cm with long shanks behind, length up to 1cm.KAS 479 (6); KAS 496 (1); no number (2)KAS 479 covers plain rivets while KAS 496 covers tinned shield rivets: \Studs bronze with plated heads of studs. The latter shew the method of plating; thus a thin plate of silver was beaten out a disc was then cut from it exactly the site of the stud-head it was then attached by some strong cement as No. 496A. A detached disc is No. 496B\" (Payne 1892a 30-31). – B.B."
