Tinned? and gilt? copper-alloy strap end

Bronze strap tag with remains of tinning, length 5.6cm. Split square-ended butt with single rivet, decorated with nicks along back, and engraved triansverse and diagonal lines: pendant triangle above front. Front lance-shaped with sides bevelled to make triangular section: back curved to make marked mid-rib and triangular feature below butt, traces of gilding here.
