Bunch of three bronze keys on a bronze wire ring, which is itself threaded through a bronze annular brooch. Possibly the brooch was used to fasten the keys to the woman's dress.a) Bronze annular brooch, diam. 3cm. Round sectioned with slightly flattened back, decorated with 2 half-knobs at either side of slight waist for pin back and similar feature for pin tip, and four other whole knobs, 2 evenly spaced on either side of ring. Between knobs, regular transverse grooving. That the brooch was in use as a brooch is indicated by the presence of iron remains in the waist on one side, suggesting the brooch had a pin.b) Bronze wire ring, diam. 3.2cm x 3.5cm. Loose slip knot.c-e) Three bronze keys, a matched set each with cast pierced suspension loop at top, broader flat shaft below leading into identical mouldings: a pilaster with transverse grooves, leading to two knobs. Below these mouldings the key is flat, and each has different wards. a = 9.9cm long, d = 9.8cm long, e = 10.2cm long.
