Father's family: The family surname was Stolpersteine. A number of family members died in the Holocaust.

Father's great-grandfather, Paul Weisz, died at Theresienstadt. Father's twin brother and his sister also died in Vienna.

Father managed to survive/escape. Found out about these family deaths when he was 18.

Mother's family: father was in France and Belgium during war [not clear if this was in a military capacity].

Grandmother left London during the Blitz and married during the war.
