A research paper titled "The Poles at Brancepeth 1947" which discusses the little-known story of a small contingent of Polish soldiers posted to the Durham Light Infantry camp at Brancepeth in 1947. The paper expands to describe in detail the reason for this Brancepeth posting as a larger part of a postwar enlistment scheme by the Ministry Of Defence to recruit former Polish soldiers into the British army in 1946/47. The paper is well cited with a bibliography of primary and secondary sources.
