This insight ntoe shows that supporting students’ SEL can help students to return to school, catch up on lost learning, and adapt to new circumstances. SEL has particular relevance for disadvantaged groups who received limited support during the school closures and for supporting students’ mental health and wellbeing, an important area of concern during the pandemic.
