<p dir="ltr">A metadata record for a Shiny <a href="https://enggano.shinyapps.io/enggano-german-dictionary/" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">web application</a> serving dataset from the <a href="https://doi.org/10.25446/oxford.28057742" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">retro-digitised Enggano-German dictionary</a> by Hans Kähler (1987).</p><p dir="ltr">The current version allows users to browse the main entry and sub-entries from the original print dictionary, with English and Indonesian translations. The search field under each column accepts plain text searches and regular expressions; the match will be highlighted in red. Future updates attempt to include other information, such as the variant forms, etymological sources, and remarks. The application source code is available on <a href="https://github.com/engganolang/kahler-1987-shiny" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">GitHub</a> and archived on <a href="https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14969432" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">Zenodo</a> (Rajeg 2025).</p>
