Story of contributor's brother, Peter Nash, and his part in Dunkirk

Brother of Peter Nash and named after him. File of story included with objects.

Peter Nash joined the Ox. & Bucks Light Infantry at the age of 18. In 1940 he was sent to Mont Cassel, France - a town to the south of Dunkirk. The battalion purpose was to block or slow down the advance of the Germans whilst the BEF evacuated from Dunkirk.

They eventually ran out of ammunition and were themselves sent back to Dunkirk.
