The contributor shared that Marjorie Ward (née Baxter) was born in 1922 and died in 2020. The contributor stated that Marjorie had worked as a code breaker at Kedleston Hall between 1939 and 1945. She was married to Ernest Ward in 1947. The contributor explained that she did not meet Marjorie until 1975, and it was only after they had met that Marjorie was permitted to discuss her role in the war. The contributor added that Marjorie had been taken to Kedleston Hall with other young women to work as code breakers, and their role was to intercept wireless communications for information to be passed along to Bletchley Park. The contributor commented that Marjorie's medals were possibly mixed up with the medals of her husband Ernest, who was a member of the Eighth Army.
