Earned a set of 2nd World War British Medals - 6 medals.

Edward was born in 1920 in Wolverhampton. Orphaned at the age of c.12 from Spanish flu and my mother died later. He was working as an estate agent in 1939, but also a member of the Territorial Army. Conscripted into Army in 1939.

Military career started in North Africa (Medal), then to Italy (Medal) - wounded by sniper fire at Monte Cassino. Arrived in Austria where he liaised with Red Army troops. Then deployed to Greece in the Greek Civil War. Then demobbed c.1947. Served in Royal Artillery - ended as a Major.
