Gatty Slip for M699: 47 amethyst beads of all sizes found on Sibertswold & Barfreston 1772-1773 (all on one tablet).Six amethyst beads. String of six large ones on wire: 1) nearly discoidal, but elliptical in section, fatter in middle, tapering to sharpish edge, flattened at ends; bored from either end; mottled coloration; pale and surface dulled, length 2.1 cm.2) large drop-shaped, very chipped and battered at rounded end, tapering to near point at other; thick, bored from either end; mottled coloration, pale and surface dulled, length 3.7 cm.3) large drop-shaped, tapering at one end, thick, edges sharpish; mottled coloration, pale, dulled, length 3.7 cm.4) fat barrel-shaped, very chipped at one end; not so well formed as other, and slightly darker in colour, length 3.2 cm.5) Drop-shaped, but flatter on one side than the other, 2 sharp edges, pale colour, dullish, length 3.3 cm.6) Short one, fat, and thicker than number 1, pale, dull, length 2.1cm.Either Sibertswold or Barfriston; original label indicated M6599, Crundale 1757, but this is an error.
