Sibertswold Downs Grave 30

Middle-sized tumulus; grave about two feet and a half deep. The bones were almost gone; the coffin, which appeared to have been not above four feet and a half long, had passed the fire. Near the neck was a slender silver ring with sliding knots, with a small loop of doubled brass hanging to it [M 6456]; this, I make no doubt, was an ear-ring, the brass loop having, I suppose, contained a thin piece of ivory like that which I found at Kingston, and which I have described among other antiquities discovered there at No. 7 of that inventory. Another slender silver ring with sliding knots; one pretty large bead of white glass; one flat green bead; and one, pretty large, with red, white, and yellow waves; near the right hip was the blade of a knife.
