Gatty Slip for M699: 47 amethyst beads of all sizes found on Sibertswold & Barfreston 1772-1773 (all on one tablet).Continuation of M 6599 (a). String of seven graded sized amethyst beads on wire:7) Large drop-shaped, length 3.2 cm, well shaped, mottled coloration, darker at one end.8) Large drop-shaped, length 2.9 cm, well shaped, pale near white, dulled, slightly chipped.9) Large drop-shaped, length 2.9 cm, rather thick, mottled coloration.10) Large drop-shaped, length 2.8 cm, rather thin and warped, sharp edges, deeper colour, better polish.11) Long, thin, barrel-shaped, length 3.2cm, good deep colour and good polish.12) Stubbier, thick, drop-shaped, length 2.3 cm, mottled coloration, but good polish.13) Small, thinner, length 1.7 cm, mottled coloration but good polish.Either Sibertswold or Barfriston; original label indicated M6599, Crundale 1757, but this is an error.
