Remembering Dougal: A Lancaster Bomber Pilot

Dougal (1922-1943) was a Lancaster bomber pilot with 57 Squadron who was shot down by Major Martin Drewes on 26 June 1943, just a few weeks before his 21st birthday. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. Dougal is buried with his crew on the island on Texel, off the coast of the Netherlands.
