Jim Dexter served in the RAF from October 1941 - July 1946. In 1942 he was stationed in Africa, and then was stationed in India from 1943-1946. He worked in Signals and set up telegraph communications. In 1943 he organised a Christmas Dinner for his men.
His release certificate describes him as a "keen, efficient and capable worker. Has shown initiative and willingness at all times. Dependable and trustworthy."
