Private Anthony Albert Barwick. Memories from Dunkirk to Germany with 69th Medium Regt, Royal Artillery

Anthony (Tony) Barwick was from Liverpool. He enlisted in 1938 and after Dunkirk met and married my my mother who lived in Surrey in 1943. He didn't see her again until 1946. From the Dunkirk withdrawal via Wormhoudt, he served in El Alamein and Monte Cassino with the 8th Army.

A file detailing my fathers memories, key point being the ambush of his 69th Medium Regt 242 battery column at Wormhoudt, and death there of Earl of Aylesford, its commander, and a link to the massacre in the barn by one of the 69th's survivors.
