Postcards found in the Fireplace

Carrie was re-modeling her fireplace in her new house and when she was taking apart the wooden mantle she found multiple postcards from World War 2 from possibly New Zealand because of a New Zealand Stamp and England. One specific post-card was going to a 'Miss Mary Cross'. She was saying it could be for a birthday and Christmas because it had snowmen and snow on them. The house was built in 1930, which she was saying would make sense that their was WW2 'artifacts'.
