Every now and then I think - we never said hello. No sooner had we met then you must go, to travel miles across a world where sombre banners were unfurled and armies clashed across the mountains and the streams. Where dying screams were all around. I would have liked to walk with you, to smile and take your hands, to understand. But I was just a babe when you came home, to stay awhile then leave alone, never to return. When will they learn? Wars bring no resolution. No solution. And those who have to go? They know. Sleep well. Thankyou for facing the hell, for all of us. God bless
