online resource
posted on 2024-06-05, 18:59 authored by Their Finest Hour Project Team

While visiting the North Island of New Zealand (Te Ika-a-Māui, Aotearoa) I saw the roll of honour for the First World War and the Second World War proudly displayed on the Lion Rock (Te Piha), a rocky headland located on Piha Beach in the Waitākere Ranges area of the Auckland Region. The names of the men who served during WW2 are listed: Killed In Action: Ussher ON. At the Front and In Camp: Ussher PD; Odlin AB; Mobbs FM; Mobbs, EM (WAAF); Perrin DF; Badham D; Badham JM; Badham WDC; Johnson MG.
