Penpal Letters and an Evacuee's Tale

<p dir="ltr">There are a number of penpal letters written to my then teenage mother from various Canadian, British and American airmen based overseas at the time. I also have a typewritten account of my mother's experiences as an evacuee.</p><p>The letters provide an interesting insight into the airmen's lives overseas during WWII, especially those stationed in India and the Far East. </p><p>My mother used to go into schools and read them her account of being an evacuee, in her case quite a happy one. </p>
