Pair of white-metal safety-pin brooches

Pair of silver safety-pin brooches, lengths 3.6 and 3.75cm. Made of thick silver wire, thinner for pin than back, coiled for spring, and hammered out to make catch-plate. Decorated with groups of three transverse grooves.
