Our family member's service in WW2

<p dir="ltr">Gareth: <br> <br>Grandfather, Itol Gordon Jarman, shared wartime memories with contributor - contributor joined the armed forces himself - served with Royal Marine Commandos in Afghanistan. <br> <br>Granfather, Itol, served in Royal Army Ordinance Corps 1942 - overseeing supplies in England - after war returned home and opened stores and petrol stations (old-fashioned petrol stations with deli counter). <br> <br>Great-uncles Verney and Albert Jarman also served in the Army. <br>Verney - 1941, served with the Royal Corps of Signals in the Middle East <br>Albert - 1940, served Welch Regiment and became POW - repatriated and returned home. <br> <br>Grandmother's brother, John Jones, was also POW, but returned to UK after war. Other grandfather served in the RAF Police - was a dog handler in south coast, and around Folkestone, Kent. <br> <br>Jenny: <br> <br>Contributor's grandfather, Albert Clifford's service records submitted. <br> <br>Albert was a member of the Territorial Army (Reserves), and joined the Royal Artillery in February 1941. Joined in Brighton and served as driver mechanic. <br> <br>According to service medals, Albert served in the following campaigns: <br>- Gallipoli (WW1) <br>- Monte Cassino <br>- Africa Star <br>- Italy Star <br>- Egypt war medal <br> <br>Returned home and never talked about his experiences after 1952.</p>
