Gatty Slip for M699: 47 amethyst beads of all sizes found on Sibertswold & Barfreston 1772-1773 (all on one tablet).Continuation of M 6599 (a) and (b). Nine amethyst beads:14) Large drop-shaped, quite thick, well shaped, good deep colour, good polish, length 2.5 cm.15) Medium drop, length 2 cm, pale at one end, dulled, chipped.16) Slender drop but thick, length 2.2 cm, clear deepish colour, good polish.17) Medium drop, one face markedly curved, length 2.1 cm, mottled, pale, fair polish18) Short, wide drop, rather flat, length 1.8 cm, pale, dull.19) Fat drop, pale, dull, length 2.1 cm.20) Slender drop, slightly chipped on side, translucent, clear pale colour, good polish, length 1.85 cm.21) Fat drop, almost 3 sides in section, near white at one end, opaque, dulled, length 2 cm.22) Drop-shaped, pale, dulled but part translucent, length 1.9 cm.Either Sibertswold or Barfriston; original label indicated M6599, Crundale 1757, but this is an error.
