We left Jer. These are my memories of leaving Jersey and living as refugees in Surrey during the Second World War. We left our home in 1940 and returned in 1945. We lived in Weybridge and Walton-on-Thames. My father worked at Vickers Armstrong, based at Brooklands, the former motor race track.
