My Uncle and An Evacuee

My great aunt and uncle, Eric and Olive Holloway, gave a home to an evacuee, Hermione Chases aged 8 from Bow in London, from January 1940 until 1946. Eric was a gardener for Agatha Christie (famous author) and Hermy (Hermione) would go to play in the garden with Eric. In the stable was a bike belonging to Rosalind Christie. Hermy was given permission by Miss Christie to ride this bike. She was later told that she could keep the bike.
