Gives details on the ships and submarines used in the war, and has written about this. Ship in the diary came from Moville in New York.

Aunt of the contributor married an American soldier (John Jackson) who was stationed in Northern Ireland. John, the American G.I. the contributor's aunt Gabrielle married, was originally from Texas. After the war, John and Gabrielle moved to Nashville (Tennessee).

They had no children, so the contributor's mother was given the album in their will.

Album contains photos of submarines that were used in the war. They also brought newspaper articles showing promotions and activities happening within the army, and a drawing from a famous artist, Dwight Shipler.

They brought documents about Magee College and photos of Naval bases and the building that American authorities used as hospitals for their personnel.
