The attached scanned documents relate to Wilfred's diaries and memories of his training in Scotland and service in WW2. They include letters home from Burma, India (where he had ballroom dancing lessons from a lady in Poona), his war reminiscences as related to his grandson, Henry and some photographs.
Wilfred was a good linguist, with proficiency in French and Italian. In "Civvy Street" he was a teacher, then a headmaster. He served in the Intelligence Corps, where his linguistic skills came into their own.
