Memories of the Anderson Shelter: A Father's Workshop

online resource
posted on 2024-06-05, 19:13 authored by Their Finest Hour Project Team

This is a photo of my father in front of the Anderson shelter. It had been dug up and turned into a shed. My father, uncle Fred, and uncle Harry built the shed after digging it up in the first place. He used it for his workshop; he was good at woodcraft and made cupboards and a ladder. He made three steps to stand on, and I've still got those.
