online resource

The contributor's father was a corporal in the medical corps, based in Egypt during the war. He was in RAF Medical. He joined before the war. He could not fly because of poor eyesight, so he remained on the ground. His best friend was also in RAF. He did not talk about things. The photo album from Egypt covers 1942 to 1946.

The contributor's mother was an ambulance driver in the Bomber Command. She joined, learned to drive, and was sent to Bomber Command to drive ambulances. She met her husband in the hospital. He had ear problems throughout the war. After the war, she bought pretty shoes with coupons. She saw a crash on the runway where all died.
