The contributor's father was part of the RAF. He was a prisoner of war and never spoke about what he had to do in the camps. It was a huge coincidence that she saw a photo of her father being held by a man in a memorial. He had caterpillar badges, named so because parachutes were made of silk and caterpillars are silkworms. He also had a flying log of 03.02.1943 - it was of the missing plane that led him to the German camps.
