Memories of Lt.-Cdr Hugh McRea, RN

Hugh McRea won the King's Gold Medal and the King's Gold Watch at the Royal Naval College, Greenwich in 1926. He was mentioned in despatches for his courage at Dunkirk in 1940 and commanded the ill-fated torpedo boat Branlebas, which was sunk in a storm later in 1940, with just one British survivor, who told his story in 1981.
