Memories of Jack Weaver, HMS Repulse

<p dir="ltr">My youngest uncle, Jack Weaver, was born in 1924; he joined the Royal Navy at the age of 15, then was posted to HMS Revenge before being posted to HMS Repulse.</p><p>Together with HMS Prince of Wales sailed from Singapore to the east coast of Malaya where they were sunk in an attack by Japanese aeroplanes.</p><p>Jack survived the sinking and was rescued and returned to Singapore where he was captured by the Japanese when they invaded.</p><p>He was sent to work on the infamous Burma railway, where he died of dysentery and malnutrition on 12/07/1942.</p>
