My father was employed at Handley Page, Cricklewood building Halifax Bombers. One one occasion, a sneak German bomber raider came past and dropped his bomb, which landed just outside the large warehouse factory doors. My father recalled that the bomb blast blew in the doors and knocked everyone and items on the work benches over. Nobody was hurt, but what he mostly remembered was, when he picked himself up off the floor, all the mugs of tea had blown over and the tea that was running off the bench and had been dripping down on him.
